DESTINATION Tokachi

DESTINATION Tokachi was founded with the objective of utilizing the majestic natural spaces of the Tokachi region of Hokkaido as an arena for authentic, world-class outdoor activities and to provide a segment of customers seeking a spiritually rich lifestyle with opportunities to enjoy a premium time filled with rest and relaxation.

We intend to achieve branding of the Tokachi area by taking full advantage of its regional resources to create value and share that value with the world. We hope to contribute to the promotion of local tourism and other related industries such the food, agriculture, forestry, and fishing industries and, in doing so, achieve regional revitalization using Registration DMOs (Destination Management Organizations) and outdoor tourism promoted by the Japan Tourism Agency.

Message from the President

The Tokachi area is home to world-class fields for enjoying authentic outdoor activities including its rural landscapes that spread out like patchwork at the foothills of the Hidaka and Daisetsu Mountains and its rich natural environments.

We at DESTINATION Tokachi set out in April of 2017 to take full advantage of these natural spaces for the purposes of building a new brand of tourism in the Tokachi area. In addition to putting information out into the world in order to get outdoor enthusiasts to make the Tokachi area their destination of choice, we would also like to propose new lifestyles and ways of spending precious time beginning with camping and glamping. As a company playing a central role in the development of local tourism, we will be involved in a variety of business activities.
