Overview
This is a campground surrounded by Hidaka Sanmyaku-Erimo Quasi-national Park where campers can experience the fresh greens of spring and the autumn scenes of fall foliage coloring the mountains.
On the first Sunday of July, the campground becomes the site of the Yamabe Trout Release Festival.

At the entrance to the park, guests are greeted by Pyotan Falls where the clear waters of the Satsunai River are collected and drop a tremendous 10 meters (32.8 feet) below.
Satsunaigawa Park revolves around the Hidaka Mountains Information Center which is also a popular spot for mountain climbers wishing to challenge the mountains of Central Hidaka.
