Nakasatsunai Village

The village of Nakasatsunai is known for its flowers, greenery, and art and, in recent years, has seen an increase in the number of people immigrating from urban centers. The village’s Satsunaigawa Park is centered around the Pyotan Falls. Some popular destinations are Nakasatsunai Art Village, which is located in a forest of oak trees, Rokka Forest, which is surrounded by flowers and one of the stops on the Hokkaido Garden Path, and Hanabatake Ranch, which is run by a Japanese celebrity. The “Nakasatsunai” roadside rest area with its restaurants, direct sales corner, Kaitaku Memorial Museum, and variety of local specialty products, is Hokkaido’s leading roadside rest area, so please be sure to visit. Cheese shops, JA (Japan Agricultural Cooperatives) produce stands, and other tasty spots in town should not be missed. Visitors seeking a relaxing time should check out the Nakasatsunai Rural Holiday Village.
