Overview
A quiet campground in the woods on the banks of the Lake Onneto in the Akan National Park. The campground also has one of the start points for climbing Mt. Meakan, one of Japan’s top 100 mountains, making it popular with mountain climbers. The outstanding scenery selected as one of the points for viewing in Akan National Park as part of the step-up program of the Ministry of the Environment’s “Project to Fully Enjoy National Parks” is part of the campground’s appeal. Due to the drop in visitors during the winter season (December - April) when the prefectural roads leading to the campground are closed, the camp is only operated from June to October.
Landscape
Having avoided commercialization and with no large-scale tourist facilities nearby, time passes quietly in this campground located in the forest on the banks of Lake Onneto. Past the wooded groves of the campsites, visitors can peer into the clear blue waters of Lake Onneto. At night, campers can enjoy a charming view of the star-filled skies as they pour into the waters of the lake.
Activities
Climbing Mt. Meakan, walking around the national natural treasure Onneto Hot Waterfall (manganese formation phenomenon), leisure strolls around Lake Onneto, campfires, observing the starry skies on the surface of Lake Onneto

Attractions
